Potential Recruitment Opportunities, or PRO’s for short, are new business opportunities that come to SCEDO through New Mexico State economic development channels.  PRO’s are fresh business leads. Companies (many of them international) want to know if places like Sierra County, New Mexico have the required acreage, buildings, vehicular access, utilities, workforce, tax structure and incentives that would make this a viable environment for them to establish business. The information we receive is very generic. The interested company’s name is never mentioned. The reason for this is that businesses considering New Mexico as possible place to set up shop do not want to broadcast their corporate strategies and business development secrets to the world. The confidentiality of prospective businesses is highly respected. However, we can and do respond to their inquiries through the PRO process. Now, you can become part of this process if you have the appropriate assets/resources to offer.

Developers, real estate companies, builders and other entities can now work with SCEDO to attract businesses and jobs to Sierra County. SCEDO will make basic PRO information available on this link. If local entities have the resources available to fill the requirements of the prospective businesses as stated in the PRO, please notify SCEDO immediately (ONE WEEK BEFORE RESPONSE DATE IF POSSIBLE). The window of opportunity to respond to these companies is usually extremely brief.
